Ok so you think you've found the perfect puppy??. But have you really found a real breeder or a scammer?
There are many questions you can ask to make sure you are dealing with a real breeder.
First of all look at the site closley for clues. For example if your looking for a bulldog. Is it a bulldog or an american bulldog puppy your looking at?
Do they have lovley pups looking for a loving home?..First RED FLAG! Are they a missionary in another country? Are the said pups free and you pay shipping only?
Do they have anything  to do with helping the homless childern or church?. Are they moving and need to find homes quickly for their lovley puppies? Do they have their own shipping company?ARE THE PUPS CHEAP? All these are RED FLAGS! look else ware!
One reason a scammer site may look liget is because they are stealing text from a real breeder site along with pictures and building their own site with the text and pictures.
Copy and paste a sentence or two from the site in question into a googal search with quotes around the text; For example if they have a list of references.
The quotes tell googal to look for those exact words in the same order you have them typed. If you find another site with those same exact words..
RED FLAG!.
Either the site your looking at is a scammer site or someone has stolen text from them.
Does the website have contact information on it? Home phone number, city or state where they live?.
Do they have a past puppy page with pictures of their past pups after they are grown?.
Do they have a beware of scammer page? ( Rememer..Scammers have to make their site look liget also) kinda like satan believes in God too thing going  on there.
Do a reverse check on www.whitepages.com on the phone number listed. Does it come up as the breeders name? Is the number listed in the city or state they reside in?
Once you have all this info and are feeling more safe about the site contact the breeder.
Ask to see more pictures of the pup your interested in.. Ask to see the pup at different angles. You may also request and object be placed beside the pup.
Example a piece of paper with your name and date on it.
Ask to see the pup at a younger age..>>>>>>>> I myself take hundereds of pictures of my litters at all stages of life..Most are not good enough to post, but I still have lots of
pictures.
If the said puppy is AKC or registered at all. Ask for them to scan and send them to you.
Ask for referencess..vet, past buyers ect..A breeder should not have a problem at all in giving you referencess with phone numbers.
Demand or insist on the vets number for sure.  Scammers work in groups and their not just people that are from out of the US..
They are americans that do this to. In my openion I think there are more american doing this than anyone.
If the number they gave you for a vet reference answers in hello and not in the vets office name they gave you that maybe another RED FLAG!.
Example DVM Gary Old (Richmond Road Animal Hospital) 903-838-3700 and if someone don't answer that phone with Richmond Rd Animal Hospital somethings up.
That's my vet by the way.. You can also do a reverce check on the number also if it makes you feel any better.
I'd go head and do a reverce check on all the numbers given for a reference.
I'm still working on this information. The scammers have got the internet sales of my pups and other wonderful breeders pups way down.
It really frustrates me that the scammers are making it harder for me to find homes for my babies!.
The scammers maybe stealing money, but their also robbing someone from actually having a wonderful pup.
It just really bothers me and I hope I've helped in some way.

It has come to our attention that there are a lot of scammers at work on  all the puppy advertizement sites.  They are preying on people wanting puppies by offering them at low prices, and they are using stolen pictures from legitimate breeders.  Beware of anyone that will not send you updated photos of the pup.  No excuses!!!!! Ask for an inanimate object to be placed in the photo with the pup.  Don't fall for my camera is broken or my scanner is broken.  Ask for a home phone number, not a cell phone.  Ask for a vets number also.  Check phone numbers on www.whitepages.com, also check to see if zip code matches the city,state, etc.  Never send money through western union or money gram.  Most legitimate breeders use paypal account to use credit cards.  We are not concerned about who you buy your puppy from, but be careful and don't lose your money to a scammer.  Never buy a puppy from overseas, you might receive a sick puppy, or nothing at all.  We personally know of people that has fell victim to this.  These people are conartist, liers,and thieves.  Some of them are real good at it. They are also building false WEBSITES!!! These websites will not have any contact info on them other than for you to leave your contact info and they'll contact you!

BEWARE OF NEWS PAPER ADDS THAT THE PUPPY IS FREE AND THE SELLER IS ONLY ASKING FOR YOU TO PAY THE SHIPPING!  #1 NO ONE IS GIVING AN ENGLISH BULLDOG PUPPY AWAY!  CAUSE THEIR TO HARD TO BRED AND RAISE  #2 SHIPPING (FLYING) IS SEASONAL AND RUNS ANYWHERE FROM 250.00 TO 300.00
