Fine Dining in Uptown New Orleans

Gautreau's Restaurant, Uptown New Orleans

Chef Sue Zemanick

just chosen as one of

Food & Wine Magazine's

"Top Ten Best New Chef in America"

April 2008

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Now Serving Dinner:

Tuesday - Saturday, 6 until 10

An Uptown "jewel box" favored  by local patrons and visitors alike. Gautreau's is located in a residential area; the site was originally a neighborhood drug store. The restaurant still houses the original antique apothecary cases which now display wine and liquor selections. The dining room reflects French bistro overtones with magnificent tromp l'oeil hand painted walls and antique mirrors from France. The archival photographs of the City of New Orleans from the New Orleans Historical Society which once adorned the walls are now displayed in the upstairs private dining room. The original embossed tin ceiling circa 1900 was unfortunatley destroyed by Hurricane Katrina but has been replicated with an exact match of the original .
